The Eco Ethno Gacka Fair is the leading festival in the Otočac region. In 2020, the city of Otočac has been proclaimed the champion of continental Croatia, while the Croatian Tourism Association claims the destination to be one of the most successful continental tourist destinations for the past two consecutive years!
Since 2003, the City Tourist Board used the Eco Ethno fair to enrich and display the touristic offer of the whole Gacka region, while showcasing all of the local touristic resources, raising awareness of the region itself, as well as helping to preserve the historical legacy and ethnological values of Otočac and beyond.
Since the Eco Ethno fair’s exhibitors come from all over the country to showcase their products, the Event has far exceeded all of the local frames of expectation.
In 2017, the Croatian Society of Tourism and Rural Development has awarded us with a special award for representing and organizing rural events and manifestations. In 2019, the Eco Ethno Fair became “Simply The Best”, is awarded by the UHPA – The Association of Croatian Travel Agencies and the tourist magazine Way To Croatia. The Eco Ethno Fair lasts for two days, both of which include the exhibition and selling of traditional local products, as well as the entertaining children’s program.
