The month of Baranja cuisine

Food is one of the common and necessary things for all living beings. Food should be enjoyed as much as possible, depending on the climate, possibilities, and desires. In these challenging times, there is an increasing emphasis on home-made and healthy food, and in Baranja we strive to raise this need and enjoyment of food to a higher level.

This year we pay special attention to food and autochthonous Baranja specialties and we want to create a new tourist gastronomic product. Consequently, we launched the project “Month of Baranja cuisine” which begins on April 10 and lasts until May 2. In four weeks, family farms and households will organize workshops on the preparation of local dishes in which guests will be able to participate, learn something new and finally taste the prepared food.

Like every region in Croatia, Baranja has its own unique dishes and methods of preparation that will especially delight all participants. This project is joined by restaurants in Baranja, which will also offer their best dishes that are also unique to this region
