Gospić is the administrative centre of the Lika Senj County – the greenest county in Croatia. National parks of Plitvice, Velebit and North Velebit are also located in Lika, a place in which many tourists from Croatia and worldwide find their place for relaxation and enjoyment. Gospić is a cosy city offering numerous free time activities for active tourists, mountaineers and bikers.
Important noting is that Gospić has total of 397 km of bike roads also known as “The roads of Velebit” that connect surrounding places of Gospić to Štirovača, a valley at the foot of Velebit. Except of bikers, Gospić also hosts mountaineers and lovers of adventure sports.
Rizvan City is an adventure park located only a few kilometres away from Gospić. This outdoor centre offers accommodations in traditional Lika cottages, bungalows and camping possibilities. Mountaineers and other nature lovers will find their peace in the Velebit, the lengths mountain of Croatia.
An advantage of staying overnight in Gospić in summer is the cool mounting air and around half an hour of travel to reach the Adriatic coast and relax on one of the beaches in or around Karlobag.
